This is the blog of entrepreneur Mario Carrozzo, the founder and CEO of Caridon Property. This blog will explore various aspects of Mario’s professional life and his other interests, covering topics such as his businesses, the accolades he has received, property, and his charity and mentoring work.

Mario founded Caridon Property in 2009 and it is now a part of the Caridon Group, which has grown to be a leader in the UK’s residential property sector. The company provides an award-winning service to landlords and tenants and is a proud supplier of social housing. Caridon Property has housed over 10,000 tenants to date. As well as social housing, the company focuses on vulnerable tenants and housing young people.

Caridon Property’s vision statement focuses on challenging conventional beliefs regarding what’s possible in housing, and the company is committed to remaining one of the leading providers of creative, innovative, full-service home solutions.

For Mario, the Caridon Group offers a unique proposition as a service provided to landlords by landlords. The entrepreneur also points to the company’s unsurpassed knowledge and expertise in welfare reform and its ability to add significant value to investments.

In September 2017, Mario received the accolade of Entrepreneur of the Year at the Croydon Business Excellence Awards, and in February 2022, The Property Investor named him as one of the UK’s top ten property specialists.

Undertaking a range of philanthropic work is extremely important to Mario, and he regularly participates in charitable events and fundraisers. To date, these have included corporate sponsorship of the Big Issue, sleepouts for Evolve and Crawley Open House, and an abseil for Legacy Youth Zone.

Caridon Property won the Commitment to the Community award at the 2018 Croydon Business Excellence Awards in recognition for the above and beyond work it undertakes to support its tenants, such as applying for funding on their behalf, helping with household necessities, and working with local employers and colleges to provide further developmental opportunities for tenants. The company is passionate about supporting vulnerable and homeless people and adding tangible value to the communities in which it operates.

Mario regularly provides mentoring services to a wide range of people, including young entrepreneurs, some of whom manifest challenging behaviours. As well as mentoring individuals who have approached him via LinkedIn, he has also worked with Legacy Youth Zone to mentor young people in Croydon. Mario was selected and served as a judge for the Young Start-Up Challenge Initiative 2018-2019 (South East).
