On 31st October, I had the honour of attending the inaugural Moth Ball, a gothic-themed gala organised by the incredible team at Caudwell Children. This remarkable event was dedicated to raising funds for disabled and autistic children, and I’m thrilled to share that it generated an impressive £76,000. These funds will go directly towards essential programs such as autism assessments and employability initiatives for neurodivergent youth.

As someone deeply committed to fostering inclusive communities through my work at Caridon Group, I felt privileged to contribute to this cause. On behalf of Caridon Group, I made a £5,000 donation, and through the silent auction, I personally added to that, bringing our total contribution to over £9,000. Supporting Caudwell Children aligns perfectly with our mission of empowering individuals and families by providing opportunities and resources that help them thrive.

The funds raised at the Moth Ball will have a transformative impact. They’ll enable Caudwell Children to expand their services, including offering autism assessments that identify individual needs and the “Shaping Futures” program, which helps young neurodivergent individuals transition into employment. These initiatives are life-changing, breaking down barriers, building independence, and fostering confidence for so many young people.

At Caridon Group, our ethos mirrors Caudwell Children’s dedication to inclusivity. Through projects like Caridon Young Living, we’ve had the privilege of supporting autistic children and their families, creating spaces where they can feel understood, valued, and empowered. I’ve seen first-hand how inclusive environments can transform lives, and it fuels my determination to continue championing these efforts through our work and partnerships.

Reflecting on the evening, I’m filled with gratitude for being part of such an impactful initiative. Contributing to Caudwell Children’s vital mission is a privilege. Their work resonates with our belief in the power of community and inclusivity. We look forward to further collaborations to support and champion these important initiatives.

The Moth Ball wasn’t just a fundraising triumph; it was a celebration of the resilience, strength, and potential of disabled and autistic children and their families. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Caudwell Children for hosting this extraordinary event and for their unwavering commitment to creating a brighter future for every child.
