From running his family’s restaurant at just 16 to building a property empire worth over £100 million, Mario Carrozzo’s journey is one of resilience, innovation, and success. Over the last three decades, he has founded and led multiple thriving businesses, navigating economic challenges like the early 1990s recession to emerge as a leader in the UK’s property sector.

In 2009, Mario founded Caridon Property and pioneered one of London’s first rent guarantee schemes, laying the foundation for a group of companies, united by a shared vision, to challenge conventional thinking in social housing and make a lasting impact.  Today, as Founder and CEO of Caridon Group, Mario continues to drive corporate growth, develop innovative housing solutions, and advocate for fairer housing policies. He remains committed to using his drive and insight to create new opportunities and spearhead the company’s next growth phase, while also striving for industry improvement and creating a positive impact on society.

Alongside his work in property, he has successfully invested in social services, childcare, IT, hospitality, construction, and even app development and crowdfunding initiatives in Dubai. His ability to problem solve, mentor, and bring out the best in people has made him a respected leader across multiple industries.

Beyond his business success, Mario is deeply committed to philanthropy, supporting various charitable organisations and initiatives that provide housing, education, and essential resources to underserved communities. His most recent charitable endeavor saw him cycle 250km across Goa to raise vital funds for disadvantaged children, successfully raising over £28,000 to support their education and well-being. His passion for empowering people through mentorship, social investment, and community outreach remains at the heart of his mission. Whether it’s supporting housing projects for vulnerable individuals, funding educational programs, or investing in social enterprises, Mario is a strong advocate for using business as a catalyst for positive change, ensuring that success goes hand in hand with social responsibility and community impact.
