It is with immense pride and gratitude that I share this exciting news – Caridon Group has won the Gold Award for ‘Community of the Year’ at The Negotiator Awards 2024! Held at the iconic Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Mayfair, this recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive, sustainable, and thriving communities.
Our journey to this moment tells a story of persistence, passion, and progress. In 2022, we were honoured with Bronze; in 2023, we moved up to Silver; and now, in 2024, we’ve reached the pinnacle with Gold. Each year, we’ve deepened our impact and strengthened our resolve to support those society often overlooks.
As I reflect on this journey, I’m reminded that our mission transcends housing. It’s about restoring dignity and providing a foundation for growth and opportunity. As I’ve often said, “We’re in the business of restoring dignity.” In a time of economic uncertainty, during the cost-of-living crisis when so many are just one unexpected bill away from losing everything, we at Caridon strive to provide more than a roof. We offer hope, support, and a pathway for individuals and families to rebuild their lives.
Dubbed the “Oscars” of the residential property sector, this year’s Negotiator Awards were hosted by the wonderfully talented comedian Ellie Taylor, saw over 400 entries competing across 34 categories. To have our work in community engagement recognised as the best is a humbling and inspiring achievement.
When I founded Caridon Group in 2009, it was deeply personal. I wanted to create housing opportunities for vulnerable individuals who had been failed by the system. From a rent guarantee scheme supporting homeless tenants while giving landlords peace of mind, we’ve grown into a comprehensive ecosystem that combines housing with tailored community support.
Today, our initiatives, including Caridon Property, Caridon Foundation, and Caridon Young Living, have helped house over 10,000 individuals. From mental health support to skills training, to sustainability projects like Caridon Eco that improve energy efficiency in social housing, we’ve continually expanded our impact.
This award season wraps up on the highest note possible, and this recognition is for every person and partner who has supported our vision. To my incredible team, our collaborators, and most importantly, the residents who inspire us daily – thank you.
