The Caridon Group, founded in 2009, continues to go from strength to strength. At the helm of the business, founder and CEO Mario Carrozzo continues to bring his spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and social responsibility to the property market. His unique ability to identify and develop investment opportunities, drawing on his experience in planning, construction and housing, has allowed him to change the possibilities for vulnerable tenants.

Recognition for Fresh and Modern Entrepreneurship

The Croydon Business Excellence Awards seek to recognise the talented and dedicated professionals bringing their passion to the exceptional businesses in and around Croydon. In 2017, 85 businesses were shortlisted for awards across 14 categories, highlighting the superior standards upheld by businesses in the area. The awards spanned a wide range of headings, from the Cultural Impact Award to Tech Innovation of the Year and Apprentice Employer of the Year.

In recognition of his outstanding work and the passion he brings to the Caridon Group, Mario Carrozzo was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the illustrious awards and dedicated his award to his parents.

A Long History of Industry Recognition

The Caridon Group continues to be acknowledged for its tireless dedication to improving its tenants’ lives and the communities it serves. On 1st February 2023, the company was announced as a finalist for Landlord of the Year in the Property Reporter Awards 2023, alongside another nomination as Entrepreneur of the Year for Mario Carrozzo. In January 2023, Mario was also identified as a top ten business game-changer by the publisher of Business Game Changer Magazine.

Pairing Industry Knowledge with Social Responsibility

At the heart of the Caridon Group’s ethos is the desire to make a difference in people’s lives. The company’s contribution to charitable organisations and community projects sets it apart, with staff combining decades of property experience with social responsibility. In October 2022, volunteers from Caridon Foundation and Caridon Property delivered hot meals and winter warmer packs to people sleeping rough in Croydon. In December of 2022, the company put together gift and sweet bags for over 200 children living in its properties, recognising the financial difficulties people are facing as a result of the cost-of-living crisis.

This dedication to its local communities, as well as the excellence and innovation the staff bring to the property market, will no doubt continue to gather more industry recognition for years to come.

In 2022, Caridon Group achieved gold accreditation for Corporate Social Responsibility with UK-based company CSR-A and was entered into the International CSR Excellence Awards, winning a gold award.
